Subject Company and Background
A non-Japanese manufacturing company. Traditionally, Japanese companies enjoyed a monopoly in this market. However, with absolute confidence in their products, this company started its business several years ago and has made a great progress in the Japanese market. The company is still growing rapidly.
Company Issue
Actually, at present, there are no great concerns within the company.
However, looking forward to their future business, top management would like to train their next-generation leaders and managers in a way that will maintain the company’s competitive strengths. Further, the company would like its employees to develop the ability to cope better with the unpredictability of the business environment, and demonstrate readiness for change.

Around 25 of the Directors, Managers, Supervisors in the Japan office.
Program Content
All training corresponding to each competency will be covered within a year, divided into several stages. During the first stage, training for two main competencies (“Impact and Influence” and “Taking Initiative”, two days for each) has been planned.
- Fixing the content
Based on the company’s competency, the AMA consultant conducts in-depth interviews with employees and explains what the company intends to gain from the training. As a result of these interviews, the AMA consultant will create a proposal that best fits the company. The proposal will concretely present some situations that are likely to develop after the training so that the company can draw a clear picture for its future.
- Program duration
Basically, a two-day session for each competency (duration depends on competency)
- Follow-up Session
The follow up session is a one-day course that will be held three months after all training is completed.
At the end of each training session, all participants will create an action plan by applying the skills learned in the course to their daily jobs. Participants will have a partner to discuss their plan prior to the follow-up session. In the follow-up session, all participants will have time to present their questions and difficulties to the other participants. The course trainer will also join the session and give advice from the trainer’s point of view.
