Seminar Summary
The world's changing economic balance has compelled companies to compete globally. Talented people who can do business on equal terms with their foreign counterparts, without losing their Japanese identity, are highly sought after.
What's more, when talented individuals employ a global viewpoint while contributing to the sustainable growth of their companies, they become especially desirable. We can assume that these are urgent issues for most Japanese companies…correct? Since its founding in 1923, AMA has built a worldwide network offering seminars that meet global standards for business people determined to successfully adapt to the international marketplace.

Now, AMA offers its Test Drive, where people seeking to play an important role in global business are introduced to two AMA programs of special interest. Participants will have a chance to "test drive" a part of each program. Those who are responsible for developing Japanese talent capable of thriving in the global business environment. . .and those responsible for developing talented professionals of diverse nationalities, should join these seminars.
Schedule & Agenda
9:10–10:20
(70 min.)
In today's global business environment, we encounter many occasions to work with non-Japanese people. In these circumstances, we should take every opportunity to express ideas openly…listen to and attempt to understand each other clearly... be able to freely discuss with everyone how to best reach our goals. However, many of us face difficulties while working in a global business environment. This is NOT only a language problem -- but a situation that arises from a personal sense of embarrassment or lack of self-confidence . . . from our cultural attitudes toward others . . . or, simply, from a lack of experience with the diversity created by a global marketplace.
In this course you will clarify your challenges, and work through several activities which will help you develop practical, useful skills. You'll learn to converse confidently and productively with non-Japanese people.
During the "Test Drive", you will participate in a thought-provoking unit of the course.
10:20–10:30
Q & A
10:30-10:40
Break
10:40–11:50 (70 min.)
Typically, we are highly skilled and well-educated and trained in the function for which we are employed. However, all too often, many of us are not equipped for the responsibility of planning for the future in our areas of expertise. AMA's strategic planning seminar is a practical, hands-on program that provides a broad context and framework for successful, long-term strategic planning.
Remember that in an AMA course, you will benefit from an interactive and practical learning structure that helps you gain business skills and take on the mindset required to succeed in global business. . . develop your own, clear vision. . .speak out appropriately. . .discuss vital issues. . .and more. During the "Test Drive", you will experience an especially stimulating section of the course.
