Today, Korean companies are a major presence in the global market. Although Korea has a population of just around 48 million (as for year 2010), which is less than half of Japan, many Korean companies in electronics, IT, automobile, steel, shipbuilding, etc., have been recognized as world’s top ranking industries.
Apparently, the strength of these Korean companies lies in their “people”.
In order to compete globally, the Korean companies have focused on developing global leaders and global talent who are highly proactive and sensitive to opportunities and changes in the global marketplace. There are many things that we can learn by examining the efforts made by Korean companies in the process of their globalization and human resources development.
In this session, Dr. Lee will share his knowledge and efforts about the Global Talent and Leadership Development, as well as, Global Talent Management at LG Electronics. He will also talk about talent development solutions adopted by some of the leading companies in Korea.
