Schedule & Agenda
9:10–10:20
(70 min.)
Workplaces around the world are enjoying the opportunities and benefits of being linked through virtual communication and technology. However, many virtual teams do not succeed because of a failure to recognize that virtual collaboration must be managed in unique ways. The leader of a virtual or remote team must successfully apply special insights and techniques to guide performance and work relationships with employees who may be hundreds (even thousands!) of miles away.
This course is designed to help you build truly synergistic and effective long-distance teams. You will gain valuable insight into the tools you need to successfully manage and lead virtual and remote teams with confidence.
During the “Test Drive”, you will be introduced to an important segment of the complete course.
10:20–10:30
10:30-10:40
10:40–11:50 (70 min.)
Our business environment is becoming increasingly diverse. This can create an atmosphere in which it is difficult to collaborate and achieve positive results because of individuals’ different values and different ways of thinking.
The aim of successful communication is to create a similar understanding in you and in the person you’re communicating with. However, in a diverse environment, each person’s understanding can differ greatly, depending on their values. This can lead to trouble. In order to prevent confusion and to communicate smoothly, your logical communication skills should become more effective. Not only focusing on “telling” as we communicate, in this course will also emphasize the need to recognize and evaluate other peoples’ stories as well, and learn how to combine these ideas logically.
During the “Test Drive”, you will be introduced to an important segment of the complete course.
